1. 17 October

   Fifth day of protests: clashes outside the Education Ministry in Tirana

   On 17 October thousands of young people gathered again outside the Education Ministry in central Tirana. Police report 500 detentions since the protests began.

2. 16 October

   Protests spread to Elbasan, Shkodër and Korçë; clashes in Tirana until night

   On 16 October, the fourth day of protests, unrest spread beyond Tirana. The interior minister reported 156 injured, including 97 police officers.

3. 15 October

   Students join the protests: Education Ministry set on fire, clashes in Tirana

   On 13–15 October students and school pupils joined the anti-government protests that have been going on since May. The Education Ministry in Tirana was set on fire.
