Saranda

Saranda is the country's southernmost resort town, right across the water from Corfu in Greece. Life here is clearly seasonal: in summer the town is packed and expensive, in winter it is quiet with noticeably lower rents.

Good to know

  • The ferry to Corfu takes about 30–45 minutes depending on the vessel.
  • Nearby is ancient Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • The gap between high-season and off-season rents is the biggest in the country.
